Lost in Maconda

Lost in Macondo is a documentary series born from the theatre project of Collettivo l’Amalgama, inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude. In small villages, the company inhabits the town for a week, searching for the surreal hidden within everyday life. The residency culminates in a travelling performance involving the inhabitants directly. Alongside it a short documentary takes shape through interviews with villagers, offering the community a new, poetic, and unexpected perspective on itself.
