Ulderica was an unusual child, both courageous and fearful at the same time. Her memories of childhood in the mountains are vivid and joyful, although she has always regarded death with fear. Now Ulderica is a photographer, and she still carries within her the spirit of the little girl she once was. Death and the relentless passing of time have always been at the center of her artistic inquiry. Through photography, Ulderica has transcended the fears of her childhood, yet the curious eyes through which she observes the world remain unchanged. And so she continues to wander through the mountains of Friuli, turning her lens toward that small universe in which the whole world is reflected.
