At the Reggia di Venaria Reale, a royal palace outside Turin, the Centre for Conservation and Restoration keeps watch over what time tries to take. From ancient mummies to contemporary art, the objects arrive broken and leave whole. The film listens to the people who spend their days here and work to keep things from disappearing. They watch over time. And it seems as though, strangely, time watches back.​
